Cons of Lack of PA

As you may have read in other sections, there are many benefits you can get from physical activity. This section is to show the effects that physical inactivity has on one's health. It will also show the effects that physical activity has on someone when you start which is one of the hardest parts of working out and being active.

Dr. I-min Lee and his research team have done work all over the world on the effects on physical inactivity. They have found that physical inactivity increases the risk of many health conditions including coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and breast and colon cancer. Dr. Lee found that it also plays a role in shortening life expectancy. Decreasing the level of physical inactivity could improve your health tremendously. Benefits include increases cardiorespiratory and muscular fitness, healthier body mass and composition, improved bone health, increased functional health, and improved cognitive function.

Tips for Starting Your Active Journey

- Make a Commitment to yourself

- Start small 

- Don't compare your goals and progress to others

- Make realistic goals

- Work out with a partner or group

- Reward yourself 

- Find exercise that you enjoy
